1904 - 1999

Evelyn Sofia Milholland was born in Beloit, Wisconsin, on March 15, 1904. She had been in poor health this past year and died in Tacoma, Washington, on February 22, 1999. She married Marion Milholland in 1968 and became his partner in life as well as in insulator collecting.

An update a year ago from Carla Walsh, Evelyn's granddaughter, indicated that Evelyn was still going to the dining hall in the nursing care facility and that she had to have the dinner service "just so" during her meals. And, that was Evelyn, one of the hobby's most gracious ladies.

Serving as Marion's navigator, Evelyn and her husband spent a period of eight years traveling 25,000 miles annually attending shows, visiting fellow collectors and researching for their reference and price books.

And, Evelyn never forgot who you were, where she met you and what special interests you had in the hobby. And, we as collectors will never forget your pioneering spirit. Our sympathy to Evelyn's loved ones.
